For dark purple, there’s MAC Cyber (black-purple, below) Lipstick. It’s a Satin, so it’s totally opaque and very intense, but not as dry as a matte.

For black, L.A. Girl has an affordable black lipstick called Dreamer, which is glossier and semi-opaque, but if you want something that is really opaque and inky-black, then it’s got to be Lime Crime’s Styletto, or a black kajal meant for the eyes!

[UPDATE: According to nicoleyoleypoley, Rimmel and Illasmaqua have black lipglosses as well, but my local drugstores don’t seem to stock these though we have Rimmel. I think if you’re in the UK, you have more options than the rest of us, as there is also Barry M which I TOTALLY forgot to mention!]
